Our story
From Nigerian farms to your freezer.
VegExpress began with a simple frustration: eating well in a busy city takes too long. The market runs, the washing, the peeling, the waste. So we built a kitchen that does all of it for you — using produce grown by farmers a few hours from Abuja.
Our mission
To make good Nigerian produce the easiest thing to eat — for families, kitchens and businesses — while building a fairer market for the farmers who grow it.
How we work
Four steps. No shortcuts.
- 1
Source locally
We buy directly from Nigerian farmers and agree prices before harvest, so produce is picked for ripeness — not for surviving a long journey.
- 2
Prepare with care
Everything is sorted, washed, peeled and cut by hand in our food-safe facility in Abuja, under documented hygiene controls.
- 3
Freeze or press
Fruit and vegetables are frozen within hours to lock in nutrients. Juices are cold-pressed and smoothies blended in small daily batches.
- 4
Deliver cold
Orders leave our cold room in insulated bags with ice packs and stay cold all the way to your door.
Where it grows
Grown close to home.
Nigeria’s Middle Belt is some of the most productive farmland in West Africa. We source from four regions within a day’s drive of our facility, so produce arrives fresh and is processed the same day.

What we stand for
Values you can taste.
Nothing artificial
No added sugar, no preservatives, no colours. If it isn’t produce, it isn’t in the pack.
Honest convenience
We take out the work, not the goodness. What you open is what was harvested — just ready to use.
Farmers first
Fair, predictable prices and prompt payment. Our business only works if theirs does.
Food safety, always
Clean water, clean hands, clean rooms and an unbroken cold chain. No shortcuts.
Our impact
Less waste. Fairer prices.
Too much good food never leaves the farm gate — there is no cold storage, no nearby buyer, and prices collapse at peak season. By buying in volume at agreed prices and preserving produce within hours, we turn that loss into income for farmers and food for the city.
